Mijas Pueblo sits about 430 metres above the coast, eight kilometres north of Fuengirola. The easiest access by public transport is the train to Fuengirola (on the Málaga Cercanías line from Málaga city centre, journey about 40 minutes), then a bus up the hill to Mijas Pueblo — buses run regularly during the day. By car from Málaga airport, the drive is about 30 minutes via the A-7 coastal motorway to Fuengirola and then up the hillside road. Parking is available at the village entrance.
