The Miniatures Museum in Mijas contains a collection of extraordinarily small handmade objects assembled over decades by one obsessive craftsman. Among the exhibits is a bullfight scene painted on a grain of rice, a flea wearing horseshoes, and a caravan of camels passing through the eye of a needle. The museum is unashamedly a tourist attraction, but the craftsmanship on display is genuinely remarkable.
The collection sits alongside the Folk Museum (Museo Histórico-Etnológico), which shows the agricultural tools, local crafts, and domestic objects of traditional Andalusian village life. Both museums share a courtyard in the centre of Mijas Pueblo and can be visited together on one ticket.
