Huesca is on the main rail line from Zaragoza, with regular trains taking about an hour. From Madrid, change at Zaragoza; the full journey takes two to three hours. By road the A-23 motorway connects Huesca to Zaragoza (70 km south) and continues north toward the Pyrenees, making it a natural stopping point on the drive from central Spain to the mountain passes. Buses also run from Zaragoza and Jaca.
