Playa Blanca is at the southern tip of Lanzarote, about 35 kilometres from Arrecife airport. Taxis from the airport take around 30 to 40 minutes and cost in the region of €35–45 (metered). Public buses (line 6) run between Arrecife and Playa Blanca several times daily and are considerably cheaper, though the journey takes longer.
If you are arriving from Fuerteventura, the Fred Olsen and Naviera Armas ferries run several crossings daily between Corralejo (Fuerteventura) and Playa Blanca. The crossing takes about 35 minutes and is a popular route for island-hopping. The ferry terminal is right in the centre of Playa Blanca.
