Los Tilos is one of La Palma's best pockets of laurel forest, a damp green ravine of ferns, mossy walls, and old laurisilva trees. It feels very different from the island's volcanic ridges and dry southern slopes.
The classic visit is a walk along the barranco and water channels, with steep wooded sides rising above you. Check local trail conditions before going, as rockfall and weather can close routes in this part of the island.
