Puerto de la Cruz is on Tenerife's north coast, served by Tenerife Norte airport (TFN, also known as Los Rodeos) about 15 km east of town. This smaller airport handles mainly inter-island and Spanish domestic flights; most international flights arrive at Tenerife Sur (TFS) in the south of the island, about 75 km away.
From Tenerife Norte (TFN). Bus line 107 connects the airport to Puerto de la Cruz in about 30 minutes. Taxis are plentiful and inexpensive. If you are renting a car, the drive is straightforward on the TF-5 highway.
From Tenerife Sur (TFS). The drive takes about 75 minutes via the TF-1 and TF-5. Bus line 343 runs between the southern airport and Puerto de la Cruz, though the journey takes over two hours with stops. Most travellers flying into the south hire a car or take a taxi if they are staying in the north.
From Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The island capital is 40 km east on the TF-5 expressway, about 40 minutes by car. Regular buses run the route.
