Santander's Ethnography Museum occupies a 17th-century building associated with Pedro Velarde y Santillán. The collection covers traditional Cantabrian life through period furnishings, kitchen utensils, paintings, antiquities, and domestic objects.
Visits are usually by guided tour, often starting on the hour. It is a modest museum, but a useful one if you want a sense of Cantabria beyond the waterfront and beaches.
