Faro Cabo Mayor stands on Santander's northern headland, where the city gives way to cliffs, wind, and open Cantabrian Sea. The lighthouse is already a rewarding walk for the views, but its former service buildings also hold an art centre focused on maritime imagery and lighthouse culture.
Come for the combination rather than the gallery alone. The coast path, the tower, and the sea-facing setting make the visit feel larger than a conventional museum stop, especially on a clear day when the surf is working below the cliffs.
