Bar Celta is one of the best and oldest tapas bars in the Gothic Quarter / Born area — a Galician pulpería (octopus bar) that has been serving the same generous portions of pulpo a la gallega (boiled octopus with paprika, olive oil, and sea salt on wooden boards) since 1962. Also excellent: pimientos de Padrón, grilled razor clams, and Galician empanada.
The room is tight and noisy in the best way. Order beer or Galician Albariño with the food. No reservations and often a queue, but it moves quickly. One of those places where the menu has not changed because there is no reason to change it.
