Placa Reial is an arcaded 19th-century square just off La Rambla, known for its uniform facades, palm trees, fountains, cafe terraces, and streetlights designed by a young Antoni Gaudi. It is busy by day and becomes one of the Gothic Quarter's main nightlife spots after dark.
