ESDi School of Design

ESDi is one of Spain's better-regarded design schools, occupying a campus in eastern Sabadell. The school offers degree programmes in graphic design, interior design, and fashion design, among others. The building is contemporary and designed with the kind of care you would expect from an institution in the design business.

The school's exhibitions and degree shows are occasionally open to the public. For those interested in contemporary Catalan design culture, ESDi represents one thread of the region's effort to move from manufacturing to creative industries.

A story
ESDi — Escola Superior de Disseny — was established in Sabadell as a deliberate echo of the city's textile heritage: the same technical and aesthetic sensibility that went into fabric design found a new expression in industrial and graphic design education. The school is affiliated with the Universidad Ramon Llull and draws students from across Spain and Latin America, making it one of the reasons Sabadell has a younger, more creative demographic than its industrial reputation might suggest.
