El Refectorio

A long-established restaurant in the old town whose menu reads like a map of the strait — grilled sea bream, steamed clams, fried red mullet, and a very good fish soup. The dining room is plain and the service unhurried in the Andalusian manner. Lunch is the main meal; the fixed-price menu del día is good value. Book ahead at weekends.
