Mercado Central

Ceuta's central market is the best place to understand what the city actually eats. The fish stalls are stocked each morning from the port and display the full range of what swims in the strait: anchovies, mackerel, sea bass, squid, and the occasional swordfish. Around the edges of the market, small counters serve breakfast and early-morning tapas to market workers and early shoppers. Worth visiting before 10am for the best fish and the most activity.
