Eating Out

Cangas sits in the heart of Galicia's seafood country, and the local restaurants take full advantage. The Ría de Vigo produces some of Spain's finest mussels, clams, and percebes (goose barnacles); octopus cooked á feira (boiled, dressed with olive oil and paprika) is the Galician staple. Most of the good restaurants are near the waterfront and the market.

On market days the food stalls along the waterfront sell freshly cooked seafood at low prices — this is one of the best ways to eat in Cangas.
