The best way to reach Cangas is by ferry from Vigo. The crossing takes about 30 minutes and runs frequently; it is faster and more pleasant than driving around the ría. The ferry dock in Vigo is at the Estación Marítima, a few minutes' walk from the city centre.
By car from Vigo, take the AP-9 motorway north, then the PO-551 around the Morrazo peninsula. The drive takes about 45 minutes. There is parking in Cangas near the beach and in the town centre. Bus services run between Cangas and Vigo and other peninsula towns, but the ferry is far more convenient.
