Rodeira is Cangas's main town beach, located just at the entrance to town near the ferry dock. It is a wide, gently curved strand with calm water sheltered by the ría — good for families, easy to reach on foot from the town centre, and well-serviced in summer with cafes and beach showers.
The beach is at its best in the morning before the ferry crowds arrive. In the afternoon, the promenade behind the beach fills with locals and visitors walking the waterfront. The views across to Vigo are consistently good throughout the day.
