A 500-metre crescent of fine pale sand tucked between two rocky headlands on the Atlantic side of the peninsula. The water is cold (around 15°C even in August), the swell is moderate, and the beach is rarely crowded — most of the day-trippers are at A Lanzada a few kilometres east. Pine woods run down to the back of the beach.
The cliff path running west around the headland leads to several smaller coves and to the Punta Cabicastro lighthouse. A modest beach bar opens in July and August.
