Praza da Leña — firewood square, named for the fuel that was once sold here — is one of the finest spaces in Pontevedra's old town. Three historic buildings of the Museo de Pontevedra face onto it: the Fernández López building, the baroque Castro Monteagudo palace, and the pazo of García Flórez. The square's granite paving and proportions make it a natural place to linger.
