Galician food is the draw in Pontevedra, and the old town's narrow lanes are packed with places serving it well. Pulpo a feira — octopus dressed with olive oil, coarse salt, and paprika — is the thing to order, ideally at one of the small pulperías clustered around the squares. Wash it down with a glass of Albariño, the crisp white wine made just up the coast in the Rías Baixas.
