Bodegas Campo Viejo is a large modern winery just outside Logrono, partly buried into the hillside so the cellars keep the right conditions for ageing wine. The scale is the draw: its barrel room holds tens of thousands of oak barrels, and the low-slung building fits neatly into the Rioja landscape.
