The Co-Cathedral with its twin Baroque towers is the dominant landmark of the old town. The Church of San Bartolomé has the finest Romanesque portal in the city, dating from the twelfth century. The Museum of La Rioja covers regional history in an elegant Baroque palace. For wine, the bodega visits around the city and in the villages of the Rioja Alta are the main draw — ask at the tourist office for current opening times, as arrangements change frequently.
