Quintín Windmill

The Quintín Windmill stands at the southern entrance to Lo Pagán, one of two surviving windmills that were used for decades to pump water from the Mar Menor into the salt pond storage lagoons to the north. The windmills have been replaced by electric pumps but remain a visual landmark — their white towers and wooden sails are the most photographed feature of the town.

The mill is not currently open for interior visits, but it sits beside the coastal path and is impossible to miss arriving from Santiago de la Ribera. The surrounding area, where the saltpan operations once extended, has been converted into a pleasant waterfront walk.
