Calpe's fish market auctions the day's catch each afternoon at the port, and the best restaurants in town are built around what comes off the boats. The old town above the port and the streets around the harbour have the most interesting options — the beach strips are dominated by tourist menus and all-day breakfasts aimed at the British expat community.
