Things to Do

The Penon de Ifach dominates everything in Calpe — a 332-metre limestone monolith that rises straight out of the sea and is visible from miles along the coast. Climbing it is the obvious thing to do. Beyond the rock, the town has a string of beaches, Roman remains, an old Moorish quarter, and a few architectural curiosities that have made it a minor pilgrimage site for design enthusiasts.
