Platja de la Fossa is Calpe's straightforward beach pleasure: a long curve of sand, a promenade, clear water, and the Penyal d'Ifac dominating the view. It is more built-up than secluded, but the setting is strong enough to make it one of the town's obvious places to spend time.
Come early in high season if you want space, or late in the day when the rock catches warmer light. The beach works for swimming, families, and an easy walk, and it pairs naturally with the path around the salt flats or the climb into Penyal d'Ifac Natural Park.
