La Granadella is a small rocky cove reached by a winding road through pine forest south of Jávea's port, and it is one of the finest undefiled inlets on this stretch of Mediterranean coast. The beach itself is narrow and shingly, but the water is clear turquoise, and the surrounding cliffs and pine trees create a sheltered and visually striking setting. There is a small restaurant and some sunlounger rental, but little else — no hotels, no nightlife, no apartment blocks.
In summer, the cove fills up by mid-morning, so arrive early or accept the crowds. The water is calm and well suited for snorkelling along the rocky edges. The drive from the port takes about 15 minutes, and there is no direct public transport.
