The Church of Our Lady of Loreto is Javea's modern fishermen's church, completed in 1967 near the port. Its bold concrete form is a sharp break from the older stone churches found elsewhere in town.
The building is most interesting for its unusual late-twentieth-century design, which evokes the ribs and hull of a boat. It makes a worthwhile architectural stop when walking around the port district.
