Things to Do

Vinaròs is not a town with a long sightseeing list, and that is part of its appeal. The fish market, the church, and the seafront promenade are the core of a visit, and the surrounding region offers more substantial day trips. It works well as a base for exploring the northern Costa del Azahar and the Maestrazgo mountain country inland.

The Carnival of Vinaròs in January–February is one of the liveliest in the Valencian Community, with 33 competing troupes and flour battles in the streets — a genuinely raucous local tradition that is worth timing a visit around.
