Ornässtugan

Ornässtugan is a 16th-century timber house tied to one of Sweden's best-known royal escape stories. According to tradition, the future King Gustav Vasa hid here after the Stockholm Bloodbath while Danish forces were hunting surviving Swedish nobles.

The house is preserved as a historic attraction, with guided tours that explain the building, the Vasa story, and the wider history of Dalarna in the early 1500s.
