The city centre is compact and walkable. The cathedral, castle, and Stortorget are all within a few minutes of each other. Gamla Linköping is about two kilometres west — an easy cycle or a short bus ride. The Swedish Air Force Museum is further east, near the airport; take a bus or taxi, or cycle on the extensive network of dedicated cycling paths.
Linköping has one of the best urban cycling networks in Sweden — the city invested heavily in cycle infrastructure, and most major routes have dedicated lanes. Bike hire is available in the centre.
