Linköping's main attractions cluster around the cathedral and castle in the old centre and at Gamla Linköping, the open-air museum village about two kilometres west. The Swedish Air Force Museum is the unexpected standout — a world-class collection of military aircraft that rewards a full half-day. The city also has good cycling infrastructure, and the flat Östergötland countryside makes for easy day rides.
