Norrköping is well connected by train. It sits on the main Stockholm–Gothenburg mainline, with fast trains from Stockholm taking just over an hour and from Gothenburg about two hours. Regional trains connect to Linköping (25 minutes), and the journey from Malmö takes around 3 hours. The train station is in the city centre, a 10-minute walk from the Industrilandskapet.
By road, Norrköping is on the E4 motorway, about 160 km south of Stockholm. There is limited direct bus service from Stockholm but good connections from other regional cities. The nearest airport with scheduled services is Norrköping Airport (NRK), which handles a small number of domestic and charter flights; Stockholm Arlanda (ARN) is the practical gateway for international visitors.
