Örebro is well-connected by rail. Direct trains run from Stockholm in about 80–90 minutes and from Gothenburg in about two hours. The train station is a short walk north of the city centre. The journey from Stockholm passes through flat central Swedish countryside and is a comfortable way to make the trip.
By car, Örebro sits on the E18/E20 motorway between Stockholm and Karlstad and is roughly 200 km west of Stockholm. Parking in the city centre is metered and available.
Örebro Airport (ORB) handles a small number of domestic routes but is not a primary gateway — most visitors arrive by train.
