Örebro is a compact city and the main sights are all within comfortable walking distance of the castle. A day is enough for the highlights; the city makes a natural stop on a journey between Stockholm and Gothenburg. The Oset nature reserve, twenty minutes' walk from the centre, is worth the detour for birdwatchers.
