Musée de Carouge

Address 2 Place de Sardaigne, Carouge
Opening Hours Tue–Sun 2pm–6pm; closed Mon

A small municipal museum in a restored 18th-century house, covering the history of Carouge from its founding by the King of Sardinia in 1772 to the present. The collection includes scale models of the original planned town, ceramics from Carouge's once-thriving pottery industry, and rotating exhibitions of contemporary local art.

Small enough to see comfortably in an hour, and good context for wandering the neighbourhood afterwards. Entry is free on the first Sunday of each month.
