Leysin's draw is the mountains. In winter it is one of the smaller and friendlier Vaud Alps ski areas, with a network of pistes spreading across the Berneuse and Mayen-Famelon slopes. In summer the same lifts open for hikers, mountain bikers, and paragliders. The Berneuse summit is the obvious highlight — reachable by gondola, with a revolving restaurant on top and a long ridge walk back to the village.
