Things to Do

In winter, Morgins is purely a skiing and snowboarding village — the gateway to the Swiss side of the Portes du Soleil, a linked domain of more than 600 kilometres of runs across twelve resorts straddling the French border. The terrain is best suited to confident intermediates: long cruising runs through the trees, with steeper options toward the French side near Avoriaz. The Pas de Morgins, just above the village, marks the border crossing into France on skis.

In summer the lifts run for hikers and mountain bikers. The Lac de Morgins, a short walk above the village, is a fine objective and a good picnic spot. The trails toward the Bec du Corbeau and the Pointe de Bellevue reward the effort with views across the Dents du Midi.
