The Tour des Prisons is an old prison tower above Neuchatel's historic centre. The cells are no longer the draw; the reason to climb up is the view over the old town, the castle, the lake, and the low sweep of hills beyond.
It is a short visit, best paired with Neuchatel Castle and the lanes around Place des Halles.
