The old town has a good stock of wine bars and cafes for a city of Sion's size. The lanes below the cathedral are the right place to look. In summer, terraces spill out into the pedestrian streets and the atmosphere, especially after the tourist coaches leave in the early evening, is genuinely pleasant.
