Getting There

By Rail — Bahchisaray sits on the Simferopol-Sevastopol railway. Suburban trains (elektrichki) run roughly every hour from both Simferopol (45 minutes) and Sevastopol (45 minutes), making it an easy day trip from either. The station is 1.5 km from the old town; minibuses or taxis cover the gap.

By Bus — Minibuses (marshrutkas) run frequently from Simferopol's central bus station and from Sevastopol to Bahchisaray's bus station, taking about the same time as the train.

Note: Crimea has been under Russian occupation since 2014, and travel to the peninsula has been heavily restricted by both Ukraine and most Western governments. This guide describes Bahchisaray as it was; current travel conditions should be checked carefully before any visit is attempted.
