The main shopping axis is Prospekt Karla Marksa (Karl Marx Avenue), the central boulevard lined with boutiques, department stores, and galleries. The Ozerka market is the largest traditional bazaar, selling food, clothing, and cheap goods from stalls. For traditional Ukrainian crafts — embroidered rushnyky (cloth), vyshyvanka (embroidered shirts), wooden objects, and painted pottery — the handicraft stalls in the city centre and specialist shops on the main avenue are the best places to look.
