The long pedestrian street running south from the Market Square, lined with cafés, ice-cream booths, small shops and benches. Locals call it "Stometrivka" (the hundred-metre stretch), though it is rather longer than that.
Come on a Saturday afternoon, order a coffee and an apple strudel at one of the outside tables, and watch Ivano-Frankivsk's student population walk past. It's the obvious place to start an evening: most of the city's bars and restaurants are within five minutes of the southern end.
