Kropyvnytskyi has its own airport (IATA: KGO) about 6km north-east of the city centre, though flights have been severely disrupted since 2022 due to the war. Check current status carefully before planning to fly.
By train, Kropyvnytskyi sits on the Kyiv–Odesa and Kyiv–Mykolaiv rail lines, making it accessible from the capital with journey times of around 5–6 hours. The train station is centrally located. Long-distance bus services connect the city to Kyiv, Odesa, Dnipro, and other Ukrainian cities; buses are generally faster and more frequent than trains for some routes.
