Yaremche Railway Station

The railway station, built in the 1890s under Austro-Hungarian rule on the Stanislaviv to Worochta line, is a small but charming wooden building in the Galician-Carpathian style — gabled roof, fretwork eaves, painted woodwork. It still serves daily trains from Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk, and the small park in front is a pleasant place to wait.

The Yaremche viaduct, just south of the station — a long stone bridge over the Prut — was the largest stone railway bridge in Eastern Europe when it was completed in 1894. It was blown up during World War II and rebuilt; the current structure is shorter but still impressive when seen from the river below.
