Yaremche's draw is the mountains around it. The town itself takes about an hour to walk through — wooden buildings, a roaring waterfall, the famous craft market by the river — and the rest is hiking trails, Hutsul villages up the side valleys, and the snowy peaks of the Gorgany and Chornohora ranges. Most things to do start from the central area along the Prut and lead outward into the Carpathian National Nature Park.
