The Botanical Garden of Zhytomyr Agricultural University covers more than 35 hectares and dates from 1933. Its collection includes hundreds of trees, shrubs, and herbaceous plants, making it one of the city's quieter green stops.
It is most worthwhile for travellers with an interest in gardens, botany, or a slower walk away from the central museums and churches. Check local access before going, as university gardens can keep more limited hours than public parks.
