By train: Burnley has three railway stations. Burnley Manchester Road is the main station with the most frequent services, connecting to Manchester Victoria (about 50 minutes) and east toward Leeds via the Calder Valley line. Burnley Central is on the East Lancashire Line. Direct services to Preston connect to the West Coast Main Line for London (around 2.5–3 hours total).
By bus: Regular bus services connect Burnley to Blackburn, Preston, Nelson, Accrington, and other Lancashire towns.
By road: Burnley is on the M65 motorway, which runs across East Lancashire between Preston and Colne. The M66 and M61 connect to Manchester, about 30 miles south.
