Moorhouse's Brewery

Lancashire brewery making real ales since 1865

Moorhouse's Brewery has been operating in Burnley since 1865, originally as a producer of hop bitters and mineral waters. Today it's known for its cask ales, with Pride of Pendle and Black Cat among its best-known beers. The brewery has won multiple CAMRA awards over the years.

The brewery offers tours by appointment — a good option for real ale enthusiasts. Their beers appear in pubs across Lancashire and are worth trying on draught wherever you find them. The visitor centre and shop allow purchases of bottled beers and branded merchandise.
