The New Forest rewards slow travel. Most of the best things here involve being outside — walking, cycling, or simply watching a pony amble across the road in front of you. The National Motor Museum at Beaulieu is the one major indoor attraction worth a full afternoon, but the rest of the forest's appeal is the landscape itself.
