Windsor Bridge

Windsor Bridge spans the Thames between Windsor and Eton — a low cast-iron and granite arch bridge built in 1822 to replace a string of medieval timber bridges that had been on the site for at least 800 years. It is pedestrianised, with restaurants, a pub, and a small fleet of pleasure boats moored alongside.

The view from the bridge is one of the classic Windsor postcards: castle on the right, Eton College on the left, the Thames running between, swans on the water. The boats below run river cruises to Maidenhead and Runnymede in summer. Stand here for a few minutes at sunset.
